About Briefly
See when AI recommends your law firm, which competitors appear instead, and which sources shape those recommendations.
What Briefly is
Briefly is AI recommendation tracking built only for law firms. The engine runs client-style lawyer-hiring questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode on a recurring schedule, stores every answer, and reports which firms the assistants recommended, in what order, and from which sources — with every metric traceable to raw answers you can read yourself.
We are a measurement company, not a ratings service. We report what AI assistants said, with receipts; we do not rank, rate, or endorse attorneys. How the scans work — and what the numbers can't say — is documented in full on the methodology page.
The company
Briefly is built and operated by NEXTGEN AI L.L.C., the legal entity behind the product. It is run by John Rice, who builds and operates the scan engine and writes the published research and guides under the site's editorial policy.
